If you’re hooked up to shore power on a campground, you can use the 110v power cord. However, when you’re boondocking and running all your electrical appliances from your battery bank, you can use the 12v power cord, saving on the electrical losses you’d experience with an inverter.
Although the Supersonic isn’t a Smart TV, it does have HDMI, USB, and AC/DC ports, so you can use your Firestick or similar hardware to browse apps like Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Showtime.

The small screen makes it an excellent option for a bedroom or small campervan. For larger RVs, you may prefer a larger screen, though. Because it’s so small, it’s also ultra-lightweight, so it could easily be used with the optional tabletop stand and stored when not in use.

The Furrion is the only other TV specifically built for RVs we’ve included on our list.
It has climate-smart technology to handle varying and relatively extreme temperatures a regular TV wouldn’t be exposed to.
Its vibration smart features mean it’s more robust than a regular TV, so in theory, it should cope well with bumpy roads and gravel tracks.
With a 39″ screen size, it’s ideal for larger RVs, and with its 178 degrees wide viewing angle, you’ll have no trouble seeing the screen from most areas of your living space. In addition, it comes with dynamic brightness, so the image adjusts for the most optimal viewing based on the lighting in your RV.
The main downside of this TV is its price. It costs more than double some of the regular TVs on our list, and although it’s built with RVs in mind, we feel the price is overinflated for the benefit that it provides. And it’s not even enabled for wifi or Bluetooth connectivity.
We’re yet to hear of anyone damaging a regular or 12v TV in their RV, so I guess you need to make your own call on that.

What We Looked For in the Best RV TVs
A quick search online will lead you to several RV TV models. However, it can feel a bit daunting to go through each of them and take a chance on what would be the best choice. You don’t want to be all excited about your TV, hook it up, and be out on the road to find out it’s nothing like you expected. It would be disappointing, especially if you are traveling with your family and you wanted to keep them busy during the downtimes.
Here’s how we evaluated the various RV TVs that we tested:
Ease of Use: First and foremost, we wanted a TV that could be easily installed in an RV and isn’t clunky to use. Nobody wants to spend hours figuring out how to set up a TV and need a degree in technology to change channels, especially in an RV when there can be limited space.
Portability: We also considered that many RVers aren’t full-time, so having the ability to remove the TV and use it at home could be convenient. Although not essential for everyone, we still looked at the portability of each model.
Price: We wanted a reasonable price without compromising the quality. We are firm believers that you get what you pay for; however, you can get a great TV with the features you want for a reasonable price.
Display: We looked for TVs with a minimum of 720p but preferably a crisp 1080p picture. The size was also a factor; you don’t want anything too large or small in an RV. Adjustable brightness is also a benefit. Depending on how many windows you have in your RV, it can get dark quickly, so you may need to change your TV brightness more often than at home.
Functionality: We aimed to recommend TVs where you could cut down a box or cords. Room in an RV is limited for most of us, and we understand that struggle. Nobody wants a bunch of boxes and random cords hanging around. So, you may have noticed some TVs have a built-in DVD player but may not have Bluetooth; it’s mainly give and take and finding a balance of the functions most important to you.
