Bluetti batteries are made by LG Chem, which is itself a South Korean company. However, a large part of LG Chem’s base is also in China.

But Are They Any Good?

What’s the Warranty Like?

Bluettit Power Station warranty is 24 months, and for cables and accessories, the warranty is 12 months. Their solar panels have 24 months warranty. In order to claim, you have to email them at [email protected] with a valid proof of purchase. Warranty is voided if:

  • Product is misused/damaged
  • Product is modified or repaired
  • Product purchased from unauthorized sources
  • Product used for nonpower related uses
  • Defects due to extreme temperatures
  • Issues not related to product quality.

Any Known Quality Issues?

In some cases, the negative temperature coefficient resistor of the portable power stations is known to cause the device to shut down even at normal room temperatures.

What Can the Bluetti Power?

The AC series is meant for regular RVers or home power backup during storms etc. The EB series is more compact and meant for smaller devices/shorter camping trips. The EP series is meant as a home power backup option.

How Long Does the Bluetti Portable Power Station last?

While it varies from product to product, in general, the batteries in the AC series have a 3500+ life cycle for dropping to 80% efficiency, which means it should run smoothly for 8-10 years even on regular usage. The EB series have 2500+ cycles, which should last you 6-7 years.

How Do the Bluetti Portable Power Stations Compare to the Competition?

1. Jackery

Jackery is the leading brand in the portable power station space. Most reviews across the internet for comparable products between Jackery and Bluetti seem to give the edge to Jackery. Their devices are more reliable, better designed, and have better customer service. That said:

  • Bluetti devices have better output ports across most of their power stations
  • Bluetti batteries claim to have much higher charging cycles than those of Jackery’s (which have 500 charging cycles)

2. Goal Zero

Goal Zero is one of the oldest brands in this space and one that is known for a lot of its work related to using portable power stations for disaster relief and increasing accessibility.

Bluetti has a wider range of products than Goal Zero, and their products are more compact and better designed.

Conclusion

Among its peers, Bluetti has created a brand name for itself in a very short time by creating a wide array of products across the spectrum of power requirements. Their products are sturdy, typically have better input and output charging options, and are faster to charge in most cases.
