Bluetti began its journey in 2019 in Walnut, California, with just two products: their EB150 and EB240.

They have expanded their product range significantly to cover a wide spectrum of power station users in just three years.

It can be used as a permanent power source for the RV life. It can charge everything, but more importantly, it can be charged very quickly with options such as AC + Solar panels.

What can it run?

From the specs, you might think that there’s no difference between this and AC200Max, but there are subtle differences. The AC200Max offers better output power in the AC outlets (2200W) and supports battery extension packs X2 B300 and X2 B230. 

The AC200Max is basically an upgrade to the AC200P. That said, what you can run with both power stations is pretty much the same, and the AC200P is much cheaper.

Like the AC200Max, you can use this as a permanent power source for your RV electricals.

Where Are Bluetti Portable Power Stations Manufactured?

Bluetti is merely a brand name; Maxoak is the parent company. Maxoak itself is owned by Shenzhen Poweroak Newener. This company has its headquarters in Guangdong, China. Most of Bluetti portable power station components are made in China.

Bluetti batteries are made by LG Chem, which is itself a South Korean company. However, a large part of LG Chem’s base is also in China.

But Are They Any Good?

What’s the Warranty Like?

Bluettit Power Station warranty is 24 months, and for cables and accessories, the warranty is 12 months. Their solar panels have 24 months warranty. In order to claim, you have to email them at [email protected] with a valid proof of purchase. Warranty is voided if:

  • Product is misused/damaged
  • Product is modified or repaired
  • Product purchased from unauthorized sources
  • Product used for nonpower related uses
  • Defects due to extreme temperatures
  • Issues not related to product quality.

Any Known Quality Issues?

In some cases, the negative temperature coefficient resistor of the portable power stations is known to cause the device to shut down even at normal room temperatures. 

What Can the Bluetti Power?

The AC series is meant for regular RVers or home power backup during storms etc. The EB series is more compact and meant for smaller devices/shorter camping trips. The EP series is meant as a home power backup option.

How Long Does the Bluetti Portable Power Station last?

While it varies from product to product, in general, the batteries in the AC series have a 3500+ life cycle for dropping to 80% efficiency, which means it should run smoothly for 8-10 years even on regular usage. The EB series have 2500+ cycles, which should last you 6-7 years.

How Do the Bluetti Portable Power Stations Compare to the Competition?

1. Jackery

Jackery is the leading brand in the portable power station space. Most reviews across the internet for comparable products between Jackery and Bluetti seem to give the edge to Jackery.

Their devices are more reliable, better designed, and have better customer service. That said:

  • Bluetti devices have better output ports across most of their power stations
  • Bluetti batteries claim to have much higher charging cycles than those of Jackery’s (which have 500 charging cycles)
